Embracing the Tree

Introduction

This exercise is the progression of the 'Energy Experience' exercise and should be done when you have completed it and are comfortable that you can feel your Chi. 

The Exercise

When you can feel your Chi quite strongly between your palms (as described in 'Energy Experience' exercise), turn the fingertips slowly so that they are pointing in towards each other and are roughly 1-2 centimeters apart and at the same level as your Dan Tien.

Keep elbows slightly down and away from body. Do not close armpits, keep them open. Arms should be held as if holding a very large ball. Breath slowly and deeply in and out through the nose. The tongue should touch the inside of the mouth where the two front teeth go into the gums and just rest naturally in the mouth.
